Guiding Texas Families Through Change

AMANDA PETERS, Attorney

Amanda Peters grew up in Georgetown, Texas, and has dedicated her career to serving families in Williamson and Travis Counties, practicing family law exclusively since 2013.

Her years as an associate attorney at Akins, Nowlin & Prewitt and the Law Office of Lisa Richardson, P.C. provided invaluable mentorship and instilled in her a deep appreciation for professionalism, integrity, and compassion in every case.

Throughout her work, Amanda witnessed how traditional litigation often intensifies emotional and financial strain, leaving families struggling long after the courtroom doors close or the case ends. Those experiences shaped her belief in a better way—one rooted in cooperation, empathy, and practical, forward-focused solutions.

Though she recognizes that some situations require litigation to protect safety and rights, Amanda is committed to helping clients pursue peaceful, dignified resolutions whenever possible.

She approaches each case with understanding and perspective, meeting clients where they are and guiding them toward stability, clarity, and confidence in the next chapter of their lives.

My Philosophy

Navigating a divorce or family transition can be one of the most challenging and emotionally charged experiences in a person's life. Such processes often evoke profound feelings of grief, loss, and uncertainty regarding the future. Traditional courtroom litigation can exacerbate these challenges, often leaving families both emotionally and financially compromised. While there are circumstances in which litigation is necessary and an experienced trial attorney is essential, many families can achieve more positive outcomes through alternative resolutions.

Regrettably, cases that might be effectively resolved through understanding and cooperation sometimes devolve into contentious battles, complicating the healing process. My approach prioritizes a compassionate and constructive pathway. I collaborate with clients who desire to address their family matters with integrity, empathy, and a forward-focused perspective.

Together, we emphasize the essentials: fostering stability, protecting children, preserving resources, and establishing a solid foundation for life post-divorce. My role is to ensure clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to make informed decisions. I attentively listen to their concerns, acknowledge their pain, and guide them gently towards a constructive focus on the future. My objective extends beyond merely closing a chapter; I aim to assist each client in commencing a new one with clarity and confidence.

Amanda finds joy in the simple, meaningful parts of life. She loves gardening, crafting, and spending time with her wonderful family. In her spare time, you can find her at her flower farm or behind the booth at a local farmers market or craft show, always surrounded by blooms and the community she loves.
